ठंड से कांप रही दिल्ली ने 118 सालों का सबसे सर्द दिसंबर झेला है. इस हाड़ कंपाती ठंड के बीच दिल्ली के शाहीन बाग़ इलाक़े में पिछले 17 दिनों से महिलाओं का विरोध प्रदर्शन चल रहा है. नागरिकता संशोधन क़ानून के विरोध में ये महिलाएं ठंड को मात देते हुए रात में धरने पर बैठी रहती हैं. हर उम्र की महिलाएं अपना घर-बार छोड़कर धरने में शामिल हैं. वो अपने साथ बच्चों को भी लेकर आती हैं. दिन में यहां जामिया के छात्र और स्थानीय लोग प्रदर्शन करते हैं, जबकि रात में ये महिलाएं इसलिए यहां बैठी रहती हैं ताक़ि पुलिस उस जगह को उनसे छीन न ले.

जनरल बिपिन रावत ने बुधवार को देश के पहले चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ (Chief of Defence Staff) का कार्यभार संभाल लिया है. बिपिन रावत, 31 दिसंबर को सेना प्रमुख के पद से रिटायर हो गए थे. कार्यभार ग्रहण करने से पहले रावत ने दिल्ली के वार मेमोरियल पर देश के शहीद जवानों को नमन किया. बिपिन रावत के साथ नए सेना प्रमुख मनोज मुकुंद नरवणे, एयर चीफ मार्शल राकेश कुमार सिंह भदौरिया और नौसेना प्रमुख करमबीर सिंह ने भी देश के शहीद जवानों को नमन किया. इस अवसर पर CDS बिपिन रावत ने कहा कि तीनों ही सेना मिलकर काम करेगी, मुझे जो जिम्मेदारी दी गई उसके अनुसार मैं एकता और संसाधन के बेहतर उपयोग के लिए काम करुंगा.

मुंबई: दुर्लभ लोटे के नाम पर ठगी करने वाले गिरोह का भंडाफोड़

महाराष्‍ट्र की राजधानी और देश के आर्थिक केंद्र मुंबई में ठगी का एक दिलचस्‍प मामला सामने आया है. ठगों ने राइस पुलर (चावल खींचने वाला) 'जादुई लोटे' के चमत्‍कार के नाम पर एक कारोबारी से 1.5 करोड़ रुपये ठग लिए. मुंबई पुलिस की क्राइम ब्रांच ने ठगी के इस अनोखे मामले का भंडाफोड़ करते हुए तीनों ठगों को गिरफ्तार किया है. इन ठगों ने एक करोबारी को इस बात का झांसा दिया था कि 'जादुई लोटे' से चावल को एक मीटर तक खींचने पर 500 करोड़ और दो मीटर तक खींचने पर 1000 करोड़ रुपये मिलेंगे.

कश्मीर से अर्धसैनिक बल के 7000 हजार जवान वापस बुलाए गए

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने सुरक्षा को लेकर समीक्षा के बाद कश्मीर से 7,000 से अधिक अर्द्धसैन्य जवानों की तुरंत वापसी का आदेश दिया है। अधिकारियों ने मंगलवार को इस बारे में जानकारी दी. उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों (सीएपीएफ) की कुल 72 कंपनियों को देश भर में अपने स्थानों पर ‘लौटने’ को कहा गया है. इस तरह की एक कंपनी में करीब 100 कर्मी होते हैं. सीआरपीएफ, बीएसएफ, आईटीबीपी, सीआईएसएफ और एसएसबी से ली गयी इन टुकड़ियों को जम्मू कश्मीर का विशेष दर्जा खत्म किए जाने के बाद कश्मीर घाटी भेजा गया था.

No Internet In Mangaluru, Lucknow After 3 Killed In Citizenship Protests

The internet shutdown amid increasing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act or CAA has been widened to several other cities in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, after three persons died and many were injured as protests swept at least 10 states on Thursday. The snapping of the internet has led to a communication clampdown in many cities including Lucknow. Mobile internet services have been suspended in the violence-hit Mangaluru and Dakshina Kannada districts of Karnataka for 48 hours from Thursday night after two persons died in police firing and 20 policemen were injured. A curfew has been declared in Mangaluru till Saturday. On Thursday, the police opened fire as the protesters and police clashed.

कर्नाटक में नागरिकता क़ानून के विरोध में गुरुवार को जबरदस्त प्रदर्शन हुए. इस दौरान पुलिस ने मेंगलुरु में लाठीचार्ज भी किया. हिंसक झड़पों के बीच मेंगलुरु में 2 लोगों के मौत हो गई है. दिन में इस इलाके में पुलिस ने फ़ायरिंग की थी जिसके बाद पूरे मेंगलुरु शहर में कर्फ़्यू लगा दिया गया. बीती शाम 6 बजे से 22 दिसंबर की रात तक ये कर्फ़्यू लगाया गया है. वहीं मेंगलुरु समेत दक्षिण कन्नड़ ज़िले में इंटरनेट सेवाओं को बंद कर दिया गया है. बेंगलुरु में भी प्रदर्शनों को देखते हुए कुछ एहतियाती आदेश दिए गए हैं.

नागरिकता कानून को लेकर देश भर में विरोध जारी है. गुरुवार को कई शहरों में इस कानून के विरोध के लिए लोग सड़कों पर प्रदर्शन करने के लिए तैयार हैं. दिल्ली में 11:00 सुबह से लालक़िले से शहीद पार्क मार्च और मंडी हाउस पर लेफ़्ट के प्रदर्शन की तैयारी है. बिहार में वामपंथी दलों का बंद है और इसमें कांग्रेस ने साथ दिया है. वहीं लखनऊ में वामपंथी और NGOs 2 बजे प्रदर्शन करेंगे. इनमें से कई प्रदर्शनों को पुलिस की इजाज़त नहीं मिली है. यूपी और कर्नाटक में धारा 144 लागू है. इसके बावजूद प्रदर्शनकारियों का कहना है कि वो प्रदर्शन करेंगे जबकि यूपी के डीजीपी ओपी सिंह ने कहा कि प्रदर्शन करने वालों पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी.
