78,512 Covid Cases In India In 24 Hours, Over 36 Lakh Total Cases

India reported 78,512 new coronavirus infections on Monday, slightly fewer than the previous day when it posted the biggest, single-day tally of infections of any country in the pandemic. With the record surge, the total cases in the country now stand at 36,21,245. An additional 971 new deaths brought the overall death count to 64,469, the Union Health Ministry said this morning. 27,74,802 patients have recovered from the infection in the country, taking the recovery rate to 76.62 per cent. There are 7,81,975 active coronavirus cases in the country currently, which account for 21.59 per cent of the total caseload, the Union Health Ministry data showed.

स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के अनुसार, देश में कोरोना संक्रमितों की संख्या 35,42,733 हो गई है. 27,13,933 कोरोना मरीज ठीक हो चुके हैं और अब तक 63,498 लोगों की जान गई है. लगातार 26 दिनों से भारत में सबसे ज्यादा कोरोना के मामले सामने आ रहे हैं. पिछले 24 घंटों में (शनिवार सुबह 8 बजे से लेकर रविवार सुबह 8 बजे तक) कोरोना के 78,761 नए मामले सामने आए हैं. यह एक दिन में सामने आने वाले आंकड़ों की अभी तक की सबसे बड़ी संख्या है. इस दौरान देश में 948 कोरोना संक्रमितों की मौत भी हुई है.

A record surge of 78,761 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours took India's Covid tally past 35 lakh, the Union Health Ministry said this morning. This is the highest single-day jump in Covid infections reported by any country since the beginning of the pandemic. After missing online classes for 4 months, 8-year-old Hitesh is finally getting back to studies at a "Mohalla Pathshala" in a remote village in Haryana's Nuh district. He is among the 70,000 children of the district - around 70 per cent of the total - who had no access to online classes because of a lack of smartphones, TV or internet access. To fill the gap, the administration came up with "Mohalla Pathshalas". Under the initiative, local young graduates or "shikshadoots" are voluntarily teaching children in community classrooms which are set up in courtyards, rooftops or porches. Only up to 15 children are allowed in a single batch and with social distancing.

Maharashtra, which is worst affected by the pandemic, reported 14,888 new COVID-19 cases and 295 deaths on Wednesday, informed the State Health Department. 67,151 new coronavirus cases and 1,059 new deaths were recorded in India in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said. UP Journalist Chased, Shot Dead Over Property Dispute; 3 Arrested: Police

कोविड-19 महामारी के मद्देनजर कुछ राजनीतिक दलों द्वारा चुनाव को टालने की मांग के बीच निर्वाचन आयोग के उच्च पदस्थ सूत्रों ने रविवार को बताया कि बिहार में विधानसभा चुनाव समय पर होगा. बिहार की 243 सदस्यीय विधानसभा का कार्यकाल 29 नवंबर को खत्म हो जाएगा. ऐसे संकेत हैं कि अक्टूबर-नवंबर के बीच किसी समय चुनाव हो सकते हैं. EC के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने रविवार को बताया, ‘‘बिहार का चुनाव निश्चित तौर पर समय पर होगा.’’

Actor Rhea Chakraborty and her father have been summoned by the CBI as part of investigations into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. But we are at the forefront, too. We are on duty at COVID ICUs, at COVID wards, transition wards. But we get paid only ₹ 450 per day. We want pay parity for the work we do," a 24-year-old nurse said.

दिल्ली के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन ने गुरुवार को कोरोनावायरस को लेकर किए गए दूसरे राउंड के सीरो सर्वे की रिपोर्ट जारी की है. इस रिपोर्ट में सामने आया है कि 29 फीसदी दिल्लीवासियों में एंटीबॉडी मिले हैं. यानी कि दिल्ली में लगभग 58 लाख लोगों में कोरोना के खिलाफ एंटीबॉडी बनी पाई गई है. सत्येंद्र जैन ने एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में बताया कि दिल्ली में 1 से 7 अगस्त तक सीरो सर्वे सैंपल लिए गए थे. इसमें 29.1 फीसदी लोगों में इस बार एंटीबॉडी पाई गई है. यह दूसरे राउंड के सीरो सर्वे की रिपोर्ट है. पिछली बार का सैंपल साइज 21,387 था. वहीं इस बार 15,000 लोगों के सैंपल लिए गए थे.

With 69,652 Covid Cases, India Sees Highest 1-Day Jump

India's coronavirus count has risen to 28,36,926 with 69,652 new cases in the last 24 hours. The fresh cases marked the biggest one-day jump in the country so far, data from the Union Health Ministry showed. Over 20.96 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19, taking the recovery rate to 73.90 per cent.

आगरा में महिला डॉक्टर की हत्या, पुलिस हिरासत में आरोपी

उत्तर प्रदेश के आगरा में बुधवार की सुबह को 25 साल की एक मेडिकल छात्रा का शव उसके कॉलेज से कुछ किलोमीटर दूर बरामद किया गया है. छात्रा का शव थाना डौकी के बमरौली कटारा के पास बरामद किया गया है. छात्रा मूल रूप से दिल्ली के शिवपुरी की रहने वाली थी. उसके शरीर पर चोट के कई निशान मिले हैं. परिवार की ओर से पुलिस में अपहरण की रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराते हुए बताया गया था कि वो मंगलवार से लापता चल रही थी. रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराने के कुछ घंटों बाद ही उसका शव बरामद किया गया है. परिजनों ने जालौन में तैनात एक डॉक्टर पर छात्रा को प्रताड़ित करने का आरोप लगाया गया है. पुलिस ने आरोपी डॉक्टर को हिरासत में ले लिया है.
