Thirteen constituencies are voting today in Jharkhand in the first of the five-phased state elections. The ruling BJP, which is contesting for the first time without an ally, faces a tough challenge from the united opposition parties. The voting began at 7 am and will conclude at 3 pm. The constituencies that will today are Chatra, Gumla, Bishunpur, Lohardaga, Manika, Latehar, Panki, Daltonganj, Bishrampur, Chhatarpur, Hussainabad, Garhwa and Bhawanathpur.
