Tata Motors is ready to launch the much awaited Safari SUV in the country which is also the 3-row version of the Harrier. The car gets a different looking grille and extensive use of chrome on the front and profile. It gets 18 inch alloy wheels on the top end XZ variant only and all other variants get 16 inchers. Towards the rear the SUV gets a stepped up roof and a roof rail side cap which reminds of the earlier Safari. The car is 63 mm longer than the Safari while the wheelbase remains the same. Like the Harrier, the new Tata Safari is also built on the Land Rover D8 platform derived Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture or OMEGARC. The white palette used inside is nothing like the Harrier. The Oyster white theme to be precise, and I have to say it is rather plush looking. The dash in dual tone black and white looks appealing and the 8.8-inch floating island touchscreen system sits right in the centre. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition and voice alerts. Tata's now famous iRA or Intelligent Real Time Assist connected car tech also finds a place on Safari. The 9 speaker JBL system, 7 inch TFT display instrument cluster, electrically adjustable driver seat, leather upholstery and electric parking brake only find their way in the top XZ variant of the SUV. The option of a big panoramic sunroof which is called the Majestic Skydome by Tata is available on the top 2 variants while captain seats on the second row are only available on this top trim. The 2.0 litre 4-cylinder turbo Diesel does its duty on the Harrier as well so nothing changes when it comes to figures. At your disposal is maximum power of 168 bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm which kicks in at 1750 rpm and stays till 2500 rpm. And the good thing is that unlike a few of its recent cars including the Harrier, Tata is offering the manual as well as Automatic option right from word go. Over 37 lakh healthcare workers have been vaccinated against COVID-19 till now, the Health Ministry said on Saturday. देश के सबसे साफ शहर इंदौर (Indore) के करीब एक वीडियो वायरल हुआ है जिसमें कथित तौर पर शुक्रवार को नगरनिगम कर्मी, कमज़ोर-बेसहारा बुजुर्गों को एक गाड़ी में भरकर इंदौर-देवास हाईवे पर छोड़ते नजर आ रहे हैं. वीडियो में निगम के कुछ कर्मचारी, एक बुजुर्ग कमजोर महिला और एक पुरुष बुजुर्ग को गाड़ी से उतारते और बैठाते हुए दिख रहे हैं. गाड़ी में कुछ और बुजुर्ग व उनका सामान नजर आ रहा है. वीडियो शिप्रा के आसपास का बताया जा रहा है. फिलहाल प्रशासन ने इस मामले में कोई प्रतिक्रिया नहीं दी है लेकिन कांग्रेस पार्टी ने इसे लेकर ट्वीट करके मध्‍य प्रदेश की शिवराज सिंह सरकार पर निशाना साधा है.

Republic Day Parade With Many Firsts Amid Covid Restrictions

India will celebrate its 72nd Republic Day today with a shortened programme - scheduled to start at 9 am and conclude after the traditional fly past 11.25 am - because of the coronavirus pandemic. Apart from a reduced list of events, the parade will also have a shorter route, no chief guest, fewer spectators, no children under 15 in the annual parade, and fewer soldiers in the Army and Navy contingents. However, the newly inducted Rafale fighter jet will be among the many stars on show, as will a Bangladeshi tri-service contingent that will lead the parade on the 50th anniversary of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. After a slow start, India's vaccination numbers are gradually picking up. 15.37 lakh people have been vaccinated in 27,776 sessions since January 16, when the mass inoculation drive was launched. 1.46 lakh people were vaccinated on Saturday in 3,368 sessions, according to the Health Ministry. A total of 1,238 adverse events have been recorded so far which is 0.08% of the total vaccinations, the government said, adding that 11 persons or 0.0007% of the people who were vaccinated have been hospitalised.

India Completes 1st Week Of Covid Vaccination Drive

After a sluggish start India's nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive seems to be picking up. Nearly 15 lakh healthcare workers have received the vaccination in India so far. 3.47 lakh people were vaccinated on the seventh day of the immunisation drive on Friday, the highest daily vaccinations so far. On Saturday Delhi vaccinated 75 per cent of its intended beneficiaries for the day. There are 81 vaccination sites in Delhi and the state's daily target of beneficiaries is 8,100. Today 6,111 beneficiaries were vaccinated at these sites. There was 100 per cent vaccination in four big hospitals of Delhi government. 100 beneficiaries were vaccinated at each of these sites- LNJP, Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, GTB Hospital and Delhi State Cancer Institute.

Tata Altroz iTurbo Review

The Tata Altoz now has a turbo petrol variant in its line-up, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Altroz. In terms of design, the Altroz stays unchanged and that is not a bad thing at all. There is a new ‘Harbour Blue’ colour on offer along with new dual-tone colour option for the interior. The car now gets a few added features as well, along with Tata’s iRA connected car technology. Under the hood is a three-cylinder, 1.2-litre petrol engine which makes 108 bhp at 5,500 rpm and the peak torque output is 140 Nm which comes in between 1,500 to 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, which is the only transmission option for now, although Tata may introduce an automatic variant in the coming months. But, does it have the goods to take on other models in the segment? Here’s our review.
