Israel has launched fresh attacks on Lebanon, including strikes in central Beirut and against Hezbollah targets. An Israeli attack in central Beirut reportedly resulted in 22 deaths and 117 injuries. The situation has impacted UN operations, with peacekeepers being caught in the conflict, leading to strong international reactions, including from India. There are more than 900 Indian peacekeepers in Southern Lebanon though most of them were not in the Headquarters of the UN peace mission when it was struck.
