In a shock move, Navjot Singh Sidhu stepped down as Punjab Congress President, catching the party high command by surprise. While Mr Sidhu said he will still work with the Congress, a spate of resignations followed his announcement. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh whose visit to Delhi is being heavily speculated upon, said "I told you so". shortly after Mr Sidhu's resignation.
