It is Nitish 8.0. For the 8th time, Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister today, with the RJD's Tejwaswi Yadav taking oath as his deputy. The new mahagathbandhan is now firmly in place, but will it be different this time? Right after the swearing-in, Nitish Kumar took a swipe at Prime Minister Modi, saying, ask the person who came to power in 2014 if he will still win in 2024. He also claimed his alliance with the BJP in 2020 damaged his party and that he did not want to become chief minister after the election. The BJP has hit out strongly at Nitish today, calling him an opportunist and even saying he was interested in becoming Vice-President, but walked away when he wasn't given the post. The bigger question is, whether Nitish can emerge as a possible PM contender for a united opposition in 2024, or whether that's become a tougher task with so many aspirants for the same job. Joining us on NDTV is Union Power Minister, RK Singh to shed some light on the matter.
