A girl mysteriously showed up wounded and bleeding near a government guest house in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj after CCTV cameras caught her walking with a man. The 13-year-old girl was unconscious and covered in blood when she was found hours after she left home on Sunday. But a group of men stands around her, filming her on phones. In the 25-second video, voices discuss whether the police have been alerted but there is no attempt to help the girl. "It is not just lack of empathy, but complete lack of responsibility. We must not forget that the society continues to look at women as objects. Not a single person came to help her. Time to bring in a law to punish bystanders," said Brinda Adige, social activist.
