Instant messaging service WhatsApp was down for users across the globe for close to two hours, making it its biggest ever outage. "Any app on which one-fourth of humanity depends (is really important). It is not just text messaging anymore, If WhatsApp is down, it is like a pipeline is choked," said Dhirendra Kumar, chief executive at Value Research.
