Liz Truss resigned as UK Prime Minister after a brief and chaotic tenure that saw her announce a massive package of unfunded tax cuts before unwinding most of it in the face of a market rout. "Only two candidates will come forward. The contest will be between Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt. It will be great if Rishi Sunak becomes the PM," said Lord Rami Ranger, House Of Lords member, when asked on who could be the favourite to take up the job.
