Rebel MLAs Should Have Resigned, Contested Polls: Aaditya Thackeray

Shiv Sena's Aaditya Thackeray said the "40 gaddars (traitors)" have applied for the same name for a party that has been existing for over 56 years now. "This legislative faction should have ideally resigned, hopped over [to the BJP] and contested election. They are trying to steal our name, our symbol," Mr Thackeray said. The Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena will be known as Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray and its new party symbol will be the mashaal (flaming torch), the Election Commission said today in an interim order until it is decided who is the "real Shiv Sena".
